Peter thanks for your continued assistance on this matter, I do appreciate it but..... In SqMail I have mail.optonline.net as the outgoing SMTP server as well. e.g. mail send from SqMail DOES NOT go through my mail system, just as the outlook set-up does SqMail is configured to authenticate and send mail through the optonline server directly. Again SqMAIL is set-up in the same way as Outlook BOTH send outgoing mail DIRECTLY to the SMTP server provided by my ISP <FYI> Optonline has blocked port 25 (both incoming and outgoing (expect traffic going to their SMTP server)) so I have a "reflector" service FOR INCOMING mail which talks to my Postfix on a non standard port. e.g you send a mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] the MX record directs the mail to a mail server at no-ip.com on port 25 which then sends the mail to me on port 9925, but this is only for INCOMING mail not outgoing mail. </FYI> JP ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: Sybase ASE Linux Express Edition - download now for FREE LinuxWorld Reader's Choice Award Winner for best database on Linux. http://ads.osdn.com/?ad_id=5588&alloc_id=12065&op=click -- squirrelmail-users mailing list Posting Guidelines: http://squirrelmail.org/wiki/wiki.php?MailingListPostingGuidelines List Address: [EMAIL PROTECTED] List Archives: http://news.gmane.org/thread.php?group=gmane.mail.squirrelmail.user List Archives: http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?forum_id=2995 List Info: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/squirrelmail-users
