You can use Courier IMAP alone --

and procmail has supported the Maildir format since 1999 --

Changes to procmail: 
Some zero-length extractions using \/ could core dump 
Missed a couple possible overflows 
Eliminated the conflict with the C9x `restrict' keyword 
Support delivery to maildir mailboxes

Google is your friend. It took less than 5 minutes to find this
information. You'll also probably want to use the courier-pop server
included in the imap distribution unless UW understands Maildir format.
You'll also need to convert your existing mbox mailboxes to maildir
format. I leave that research to you.
