You're using a /very/ old version of SquirrelMail which contains a number
of security issues.  You should upgrade to SquirrelMail 1.4.4 as soon as
you can.  Once you have upgrade, see if the issue persists.  You may also
want to make sure you have server side sorting enabled, this should
resolve any issues like this as it is most likely just a bad cache of the
headers that is causing the message to still "be there".
