You didn't put the quotes in, did you? (i.e. you have home_mailbox = Maildir/ without quotes around it?
run postconf -n and post that. The config Postfix sees might actually be different than what you are seeing in the file.
Are you still getting mail ing /var/mail/ ? Are you getting any mail delivered at all?
