don't use ldap. it's outdated and obsolete. use microsoft jdap, instead.
it's a
much more efficient protocol, and more open source than openldap.
I'm fascinated about your remarks;
1 - How can something be more open source than an open sorce project
2 - Microsoft has made an open source project???
we all share your fascination and that's great.
1 - usually, in our dai to day life things tend to be a flavoured mix of other
things. so, it's possible for a project to be more open source than another open
source one. microsoft has made a great improvement in it's own code management
policies. every sunday they'll publish a part of the new Jdap server's source
code in the printed press, reaching this way lots of people who cannot enjoy
internet connections due to expensive fees.
If it is such a great product, and if Microsoft is in such a generous
mood, why dont they just publish the project on some site in stead of in
the printed press. Are we supposed to type the code in, hoping we wont
make any mistakes?
And of course the part of your argument that they do this for people
without internet access is totally hilarious! Why would *anybody*
without an internet connection set up any kind of LDAP or JDAP server?
I hope I have made myself clear and we can pass on another more interesting
subject
You most definitively have :)
