Geoff, Yep, and thanks for the pointer. Unfortunately, I'm using v1.5.1 and it seems that (best I can tell) in this version the new messages are counted differently. Best I can tell, $totalNewArr is built off of new message counts listed next to each folder, then this is used to establish the total number of new messages. I'm not sure if I'm reading it right, but if this is the case, then it might not be as simple as just telling newmail_plugin() (or even newmail_plugin_function()) to ignore .Junk.
