Hi, Last week I received an email from Lotus Notes Release 7.0.1 Client missing
MIME version declaration.
Reading it with SM 1.4.4 the message is not interpreted, whilst with version
1.4.8 there's no problem.
(note: I checked that, when I insert the declaration by hand, I can read the
message, without problem, also with 1.4.4)
Lotus notes is not 2045 RFC compliant as is said:
"Messages composed in accordance with this document MUST include such a header
field, with the following verbatim text:
MIME-Version: 1.0
The presence of this header field is an assertion that the message has been
composed in compliance with this document."
And then this is enough, I think, to say that the problem is not at my
receiving systems.
In the same way I would like to try and solve the problem.
One solution could be upgrade to SM 1.4.8 but I would like to hack 1.4.4 with a
quicker solution.
Do you think I have given a correct view of the problem?
Have you got any idea how to get a solution?
