Hi Tomas, thank you for your reply. You are right. I've just checked that reading that email with SM 1.4.4 pointing to the other imap server it works.
Technical data about imap servers: The one Rfc compliant is imap-2002d-14.el4.rpm package on RHEL4up4 the other is cyrus-imapd-2.2.12-8.1.RHEL4.rpm package on RHEL4up6 well, I don't think I wll do any changes...
