I installed Qmail using QInstall-1.1 and I got this error on installation of SqWebMail:
checking for gbdm_open in -lgdbm... no checking for gdbm_open... no checking for dbopen in -ldb... no checking for db_open in -ldb... no checking for db_env_create in -ldb... no checking for dbopen... no checking for db_open... no checking for db_env_create... no configure: error: Cannot find either the gdbm or the db library. make: *** No Targets specified and no makefile found. Stop. make: *** No rule to make target `install-strip'. Stop. mv: cannot stat `authlib/authdaemonrc': No such file or directory sh: /usr/local/share/sqwebmail3/libexec/authlib/authdaemond: No such file or directory Sqwebmail installation DONE. libgbdm2, db1-devel, gdb, db1, db2 and libdb3.3 were all installed. The WWW directory is /www/servers/html/cgi-bin and /html but nothing gets installed obviously with the "make" failure. This is using the ./qinstall -gui in Gnome on Mandrake 8.2. I went and grabbed the newest version of GDBM (1.8.1) from http://www.gnu.org and installed it, managed to get the compile to go further than a check for GDBM but it now finishes with: Making install in sqwebmail make[2]: Entering directory `/usr/local/src/qinstall/sqwebmail-3.3.1/sqwebmail' make[2]: *** No rule to make target `install'. Stop. make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/src/qinstall/sqwebmail-3.3.1/sqwebmail' make[1]: *** [install-recursive] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/src/qinstall/sqwebmail-3.3.1' make: *** [install-strip] Error 2 sh: /usr/local/share/sqwebmail/libexec/authlib/authdaemond: no such file or directory Sqwebmail installation DONE.
