That's not true - they *are* getting replaced. Sqwebmail doesn't know or care what browser you have. Try doing "view document source" in IE and look at the HTML which you have received. That should convince you that the tags are replaced. If the images are not present then you'll have to work out what it is about the HTML which IE objects to. As was recommended elsewhere on this list, upgrade to the latest sqwebmail (3.6.0) which generates XML-compliant output. Brian.
