Sorry Sam I overlooked that somehow. I used the vpopmail user on that
option and its all better.
I also did a
chmod ug+s /var/www/cgi-bin/sqwebmail
leaving it with
-rwsr-sr-x 1 vpopmail vchkpw 297940 Mar 14 21:52
/var/www/cgi-bin/sqwebmail*
which may or may not have been the thing to do ...
At any rate I do thank you a million times for your help the past 2 days.
Its all working for the moment now thanks to your patience.
