maildirmake - how to?

Hi,

Once more with maildirmake. I wrote 'maildirmake mail', 'maildirmake .mail', 
'maildirmake maildir' and nothing. I have error 'unable to open the maildir...'.

I have FreeBSD 4.2, Postfix and no ideas what next.
