Assuming you have permissions to write to the directory wherein you want the
maildir I would think
maildirmake Maildir
would work just fine. But permission problems would be my first guess. Have
you tried doing this as root? (Bear in mind that if you do, you must
recursively change the ownership of the Maildir afterward.)
