Hello,

The address book problem really persists. Today it got deleted
  again:-).

  This is EXACT compile line:

  ./configure --with-cachedir --without-authpam --without-authmysql
  --without-authuserdb --enable-webpass=no --without-authpwd
  --without-authshadow --with-authvchkpw --enable-cgibindir=/home/WWW/webmail
   --enable-imagedir=/home/WWW/webmail/images

Sqwebmail is renamed to mail.cgi, owned by root:web (btw when I
change owner to web as well, it doesn't work).

What program EVER touches address book??

FPL> Sam, sorry to be the pain-in-the-butt for raising this question again.
