When you installed SQWebmail.it gave you a message that you needed to setup
a cron to purge the messages.

Mine said this when I set everything up:

You must now create the following cron job that runs at
regular intervals:

su -c "/usr/local/share/sqwebmail/cleancache.pl" bin
