there are many "other" ways it could be done, but he was asking if it was
possible with his current setup in which no is the correct answer. he may
have to many pop boxes that migrating to ldap is not an option.. you never
know. but you are right, and it is more common to see the use of qmail-ldap
or vpopmail+sql doing authentication via pop and web using the same source.
i actually use the latter and it works quite well (hipsound.com if you wanna
see it in action).
