Hi list, We have a sqwebmail installation which authenticates to ldap. ( it's 3.3.6 on RH 7.1 alpha, with an custom openldap 2.0.25) Some clients are reporting problems logging in. Most of the problems are from IE6. Sometimes also Opera gives problems.
When stracing the authdeamon we see that it never does an ldap search. In stead of that it reports "broken pipe". We think the authdeamon holds an open connection to the ldap, where the ldap drops connections after 120s. As a result there could not be done a search. Now I've got two questions: 1) howlong is the time after which sqwebmail closes connections to ldap ? 2) how can it be that some browsers seem to have more problems with this than others ? I hope anyone can answer one or two of these questions. Jacco PS. I basicaly build the rpm. whith the following extra options: --enable-https \ --disable-autorenamesent \ --disable-changepass \ --enable-softtimeout=7200 \ --enable-hardtimeout=14400 \
