I cant even get SqWebMail to completely install. I still get:

Making install in sqwebmail

`/usr/local/src/qinstall/sqwebmail-3.3.1/sqwebmail'
make[2]: *** No rule to make target `install'. Stop.

make: *** [install-strip] Error 2
sh: /usr/local/share/sqwebmail/libexec/authlib/authdaemond: no such file
or directory Sqwebmail installation DONE.

Even without the auth*. The error status is same if I add the same lines as
this as without the "--without-auth*" lines, this was my last attempt to get
it installed:

 --enable-cgi-bindir=/www/servers/cgi-bin/sqwebmail3
--with-cachedir=/var/cache/sqwebmail3 --enable-imageurl=/webmail3
--enable-imagedir=/www/servers/html/html/webmail3 --enable-webpass=vpopmail
--without-authdaemon --without-authpam --without-authuserdb
--without-authpwd --without-authshadow --without-authldap --with-authvchkpw

Same errors and no installation. I added the same to the Qmailadmin as
well.

Yes, I am seeing the same behavior as Malachi. Users are not able to
authenticate at all without authdaemond running.

The problem is so fustrating because it is so intermittant...

I did that, but still can't get sqwebmail
to EVER authenticate ANY user...
