Hi jim:
 I encountered such problem with sqwebmail 3.4.0 . This is not a bug but
an incompatible feature with traditional email clients (MUA)..Yes, it's so
terrible :) 

 As my understand to sqwebmail source code and implemention, attachment and
content implemention are in an unusuall way, missing some important features
and with some extra even useless feature.... :-( 

 So what we sqwebmail users could do is write a patch or redesign mechanism
of attachment upload(send) and receive.. I have been partly implemented that
sqwebmail can happily work with Outlook and Hotmail , which need some hard
code and imcompletely RFC support.. 

 I have reported such a problem with sqwebmail3.4.xx to the list but nobody
response to me, and i had to fix it myself :(
