This has been covered about 10,000 times here.

The only recommended solution is to compile without authdaemon.

I believe that Mr. Sam says this is a vpopmail bug. If so, I'd eventually
like to get to the bottom of it. But until then I can only take his word
for it (If I'm even remembering his words correctly in the first place).

It's a shame the vpopmail folks don't monitor this list. I think that's
kinda silly, considering that they list sqwebmail on their website and
host the mailing list.
