Please send the output of:

authlib/authinfo

From your main sqwebmail source directory to the list. This will give me peace
of mind that you are indeed using authvchkpw.

I personally run the production version of vpopmail with MySQL auth. I haven't
tried vpopmail with vpasswd files, and I haven't run development versions, so it's
possible that this behavior is genuinely a bug in vpopmail since I don't have
first hand experience with your setup. However, having said that, I doubt it's
a bug in vpopmail.

QmailAdmin should be using the exact same vpopmail libraries that sqwebmail
uses to change passwords and such.

Let's see that authinfo output, please.
