Thank you all for maintaining sqwebmail. I am now running it on FreeBSD just fine.
I do have some wishes, though. I haven't found a decent archive for this list, so excuse me if these have been beaten to death before.
If only configure could:
- specify the 'authdaemonvar'
(I am already running the Courier-IMAP authdaemond. It took me a while to
figure out how to connect sqwebmail to that)
- throw a switch to comment out all the code in authlib/changeuidgid.c
(It took me an even longer while to find the hint in SECURITY doc. That should
be in the root directory of the package like all the other docs, imho.)
- disable authdaemon compilation and installation, but sqwebmail would still use
the socket provided in authdaemonvar
(This is a corollary of the wish #1)
If somebody knows how to do these with configure - please tell me. I know how to do them by hand, but will I remember to, when I recompile or upgrade? They would also make life easier for newcomers.
