I'm presuming the affected message is formatted like the message you just
posted to the list; go into the Maildir/cur directory and cat the message
file, the header should look something like this:

From: =?iso-8859-1?Q?Bj=F6rn_Hahnefeld?= <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

(This header was taken from the message you posted to the list, and it
renders correctly in 'mutt')

I've just viewing your posting, on my sqwebmail-3.6.0.20030922 which is
configured without any unicode options (and therefore I think just picks up
iso-8859-1 by default). I find that the o-umlaut is correctly displayed in
the folder index From/To column, and it is also correctly displayed in the
message body, but the From: header is displayed wrongly: I get

From: " [iso-8859-1] Bjrn Hahnefeld" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

That's strange - if it can be decoded in the folder index then why not here
as well?

Regards,

Brian.
