You say nothing about your environment, but let me guess - you are using vpopmail/vchkpw aren't you? If so, it's a bug in vpopmail. Go upgrade to the latest version. If not, please describe your setup more completely. What O/S and version, what authentication mechanism you are using, etc. Brian.
