I don't really want it to stay in the inbox. When the user filters the
mail it will go to the trash or other specified folder. That would
alleviate the flagging of filtered mail. If I knew enough C to do it I
would but I am only an amateur. :(

Only at delivery time, not at the time when sqwebmail opens the INBOX.
(Doing it that way would be problematic; if you leave mail in the INBOX then
there would need to be some sort of flag to say "filtered" or "not yet
filtered")
