When the gateway is switched to inactive-probing using ds_mark_dst("ip") in failure route, I see state change from active-no-probing to inactive-probing, then ds_probe_threshold "pings" are sent to destination (these time out as dst is down), then state changes to inactive-no-probing. The state does not remain in inactive-probing state/mode.
