ssh compile for Irix

Hi,
        I was wondering if anyone has had a working version of ssh on an
SGI/Irix box?  I can get throught the compile just file and the daemon
starts up ok too, but while connecting from another box is shuts off the
connection after the motd is displayed.  Any ideas?
