you mean xterminal?

yes, we're running those with a little script using xprompt and xmessage
as local chooser, no problem.  you've to know the user to use for login
before doing the ssh connect, then just 'ssh -l user target
/path/to/start/of/xsession'.

if here's any interest I can put the script online as an example....

PS: I've put up some PCs (linux) with write protected disk as secure
    XTerminal this way, a nice and easy way to provide pretty
    untouchable workplaces.
