Hi,

I have installed ssh 2.0.13 to Sparcs right here along with the ssh
1.2.27. However, connecting to a host with ssh2 don't let me in whereas
ssh1 works well. These machines are NIS+ clients. I couldn't figure out
what's going on with ssh2 while ssh1 connects without a problem.
Oh, let me explain the problem a little.

I try to connect to machine A from B with this command:
$ ssh2 A -l mylogin
mylogin's password: <I type in the password>
mylogin's password: <strange. It was correct but asks me again. type again>
mylogin's password: <the same thing here. typed it once more>

Disconnected; authentication error (Authentication method disabled.).

There's nothing special I did at compile time.
System is Sparc Solaris 2.5
I've used the --prefix=/usr option while configuring.
rest is just the simple 'make; make install' thing.
And added the necessary lines to /etc/ssh2/ssh2_config and
/etc/ssh2/sshd2_config to activate the ssh1 support.
that's all...

One thing I've noticed is that NIS+ Server doesn't have this kind of a
problem. I can access the NIS+ Server with ssh2 without any problem.
This only occures in NIS+ client machines.

And ssh1 works well both in NIS+ server machine and NIS+ clients.

any ideas?

thanx
