Those warnings are SSH trying to backup your previous SSH installation
before installing the new one. No problems.

One of your systems is running SSH 1, which is not compatible with SSH 2.
Install the same SSH on both machines and your luck will improve. Also,
you can install SSH1, then install SSH2 - SSH2's ./configure step should
find the SSH1 installation and set itself automagically for both SSH1 and
SSH2 compatibility.
