I was using ssh 1.2.26 that I had compiled a long time ago. Today I tried
to change to ssh 2.0.13 but it couldn't generate the host key. So, I
tried ssh 1.2.27 at least to skip the bug and again, I got the same
problem. A fail during host key generation.
Finally I tried to install back 1.2.26 and the same problem appeared.
I got the following message during make install:

Generating 1024 bit host key.
Initializing random number generator...
make: [generate-host-key] Error 139 (ignored)

But with this error the sshd doesn't work. I tried ssh-keygen but it also
fails as follows:

[root@zeus /etc]# ssh-keygen
Initializing random number generator...
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

My machine is an Alpha running Linux RH 5.2 updated to kernel 2.2.12.
My compiler is gcc 2.8.1

I've applied the same tasks in an intel machine with RH 6.0 and everything
works fine.
