Secure version of FTP available?

Hi all,

Does anyone know where there might be a secure version of FTP available so
that I can allow users the ability to FTP into my site w/o the danger of
sending cleartext passwords?  Ideally, I'd like to find such a daemon and
also a client (Unix/Linux and Windows) that can speak this protocol.  If
any of you know of such a thing, please let me know.
