OpenSSH has been audited by the OpenBSD team, who make the most secure
Unix available.
As for userbase - OpenSSH has been included in OpenBSD since 2.6 and Mandrake
Linux 7.0 (please tell me if I have missed your OS) and has been heavily
and consistently downloaded the distribution sites. I am sure that makes
for more than three users :)
