That is more or less correct (see below). However, it is not the case
that Linux-Mandrake _includes_ portable OpenSSH.

You will note that Garzik's phrase "included in there" means "included
in the foreign sites for US users", not "included in the Linux-Mandrake
distribution".
If memory serves, his phrase "a special crypto install" refers to a
script that can be run to retrieve and install crypto packages from
one of the non-US archives. That is commendable, and a step forward.
But purchasers of the Linux-Mandrake boxed set, reading your post and
expecting to find OpenSSH and OpenSSL RPM packages on the CD-ROMs, might
be (at first) mildly disappointed.
