I am using OpenSSH-2.3.0p1-5 on a PC using SuSE Linux kernel 2.4 on reiserfs. This machine is used to connect via ssh through a cipe tunnel to a RedHat box. Large mysql db files are piped via stdout from the RedHat machine to the SuSE client. If the connection between the machines is interrupted for any reason, the SuSE box locks up completely and must be brought down hard and restarted. None of the logfiles on either machine has a record of anything being amiss, and I am stumped as to what is happening. Has anyone out there had the same experience? And is there a fix for this? I don't want to upgrade openssh until I can determine what is happening. Thanks, Steve O. [EMAIL PROTECTED]
