I do recall seeing an article about making a brake van with R/C control, but it's been long enough ago that I can't recall where or when it was. A search of the SitG index turns up nothing, so I am fairly certain that it was in the G1MRA Newsletter and Journal. I hope that helps. If you don't find it, the design was simplicity itself. A servo tightened a cord that was wrapped around an axle three or four times. This applied the brake. Moving the servo the other way loosened the cord and the axle turned freely. You could do this in a tender, as well. -vance- "I wish to God these calculations had been executed by steam" -- Charles Babbage _______________________________________________ SSLiveSteam mailing list Send messages: [email protected] Cancel subscription: http://postfix.45mm.com/mailman/listinfo/sslivesteam Rules: http://www.45mm.com/sslivesteam_guide.html
