There's a very active discussion, usually well-illustrated, over on the Live
Steam Forum of MyLargeScale.com - currently about the new K-28 and it's

I don't have a K-27 (waiting for an EBT Mike/Mikado/MacArthur), but my C-16 is
fine, though it only has a single flue. I know lots of guys who have the
twin-flue locos, and none has complained about the burners - other than the
usual issues of generating too much heat, not getting enough gas flow when it
is cold, etc.
There have been a lot of folks who found teflon remnants in their (Ruby) jets.
The assemblers seem to be fairly liberal with the stuff and sometimes bits get
loose.
