The wonderful thing about Oregon and Washington is the number of small breweries. The variety of beers each brewery creates varies during the year and between breweries, so it is not possible to taste every variation without years of dedication, which I assume some of us are game to try.
Portland traffic is worse than Eugene, but hey, I grew up in Los Angeles and visit relatives in Seattle, so traffic has to be kept in perspective. We anticipate relocating to Portland, Oregon or Vancouver, Washington within a couple years. There are some nice layouts in Portland area as well. Three are standouts in my mind. ~ Gary, scudding over Terror Trestle http://community.webshots.com/user/raltzenthor http://www.angelfire.com/or/trainguy/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GmP_h6qSExE#EgPhodbzwWU Micro brewery across the street? -is there a house across the street too, one for sale?. I too love Portland (one of our sons lives there) and between ales and trains I could spend my sunset years there , that is; what remains of them- Ah, but it's a slow sunset!!- Thanks to our hobby.
