Good evening List, Just finished registering on-line for the NSS. And I made my hotel reservations yesterday. To top that off I've actually made progress on the coal-fired Billy. In the past two days the grate and lower portion of the firebox got fabricated. The lower portion is a stainless steel box that attaches to the copper part of the firebox and attaches to the loco frame to support the aft end of the boiler assembly. Now I can install the boiler onto the frame properly and start working on the piping for the axle pump and on the steam plumbing. Goal is to have it burning coal and in steam at the NSS.
