This has never been true. You can easily run FreeBSD with ZFS root on the smallest DigitalOcean droplets (1 vCPU, 1 GB RAM, 10 GB storage). I've been doing just that since 2017 when those same droplets came with only 512 MB RAM. DES -- Dag-Erling Smørgrav - [email protected]
