Not doubting you, I'm curious though why the subsequent pkg update didn't fix it. Interestingly (for me, anyways) a later (12 hrs or so) pkg query showed those pkgs absent from the builders. They weren't at the initial forced upgrade.
As Herbert already mentioned, the simplest fix is to install misc/compat14x.
