Aloha all

I don't see the slightest reason for installers on the Mac. As I showed, it's really easy to go with homebrew, even if you only change the formula for building stock python.

If the access to the VCS would be public then we could have another go at a 'stackless' formula, the main problem with the first attempt was the homebrew crew rejecting stackless on the ground, that it would collide with all the other python formulae, mainly due to binary, library and installation path duplicates.

Hi all,

Do we really need to build this installer ?
Is there an audience for stackless users on MacOS X that cannot/don't
want to compile stackless from source ?
Is there even any downloads for this installer besides testing by
people on this mailing list ?

Cheers,
Hervé

We really only support it as much as Python itself does, with patched

So if they can do it, we should be able to. But strangely this Python
installer building always seems to be somewhat hard to work out or
arcane.

Interestingly, I have a mac with latest Xcode sitting on my desk.
But I've actually been having trouble getting our 2.7 to build on it,

to hardcode SDK paths and other such stuff.
Perhaps we don't properly support the MacOSX10.9.sdk

Hi,

Stackless 3.3.5, 3.2.5 and 2.7.6r3 have been out for a while, but I
didn't announce them all because I was hoping that we could get 3.4.0
done as well.

Does anyone wish to do the MacOS installers for 3.3.5 and 2.7.6r3?

And if you really feel inclined, 3.2.5.

Cheers,
Richard.
