So, what you're suggesting is opening second connection to the 5222 port, and negotiating second, binary stream? Well... I like the idea. But this, would in reality create second, XMPP-Core/servers based, but effectively unrelated to XMPP-IM, network for binary packet routing. This network could be used to ie.
