Why do we need to send what we think is our IP? IMO, this is completely useless, as it doesn't matter at all. It only means extra work for the client developers, which means they need to find a portable way to detect the IP adress on all interfaces. Plus this only allows specifying one IP. I think this puts unnecessary burdens on client developers.
