There _IS_ a gain: You won't get presences every few seconds for the 5 minutes after you logged in which spam your desktop with notifications etc. Very, very annoying IMO. Initial presences should come all at once, IMO, so the client doesn't need to show a notification for initial presences. Just waiting for 30 secs like Gajim does doesn't work for me, as it takes 5 minutes until I see all presences (which SUCKS!). -- Jonathan
