I'll raise this issue during the XMPP Summit later this week, but I
think it would be good to bring back (and advance to Draft) the
Reachability Addresses extension:

http://xmpp.org/extensions/xep-0152.html

There are several use cases of interest here, especially so-called
"CUSAX" (combined use of SIP and XMPP) endpoints. In fact the
reachability extension is mentioned in the relevant Internet-Draft,
which Emil Ivov, Enrico Marocco, and I are working to move forward at
the IETF:

https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ivov-xmpp-cusax/

(And if you have feedback on the CUSAX I-D, please do send it along,
preferably to the [email protected] list.)

Thanks!

Peter
