Abstract: This specification defines a Jingle application type for transport
the Session Description Protocol (SDP) over Jingle.

hrmpf, it seems I sent the xmpp editor an outdated version.
Minor updates at http://hancke.name/jabber/jingle-sdp (either .html or .xml), mostly to the text.

The XMPP Council will decide in the next two weeks whether to accept this
proposal as an official XEP.

council: please reject this (with a technical argument, not just because it's ugly)

This proposal shows that it is entirely possible to reuse the session model of jingle (in particular content-add) and retain the separation of transport from media description.

However, I do not think that using SDP gains us anything here from a protocol POV to break backward compability.
