In general, proposing a XEP that's rejected because it's a terrible idea
adds more value than doing something that's a terrible idea without
discussing it. Even if you choose not to go as far as a formal protoXEP,
it'll hopefully be useful to all parties.

In the best case, your proposal is excellent and we all start doing it. The
next best option is that we give you an alternative idea that fits with the
standards and your requirements. If nothing else, we all get some ideas.

So please, go ahead, and tell us more detail.
