Can you explain why people wanting to implement some feature couldn't
(begin to) write a XEP? I believe there are many people on this list who
would be more than happy to help out with such an effort. Peter
Saint-Andre has written dozens of XEPs based on people's first
back-of-the-envelope descriptions of a new protocol. It doesn't have to
be perfect on the first attempt, and it never has been, to be honest.
Once something is written down, it can be discussed and improved upon.
