Hi Daniel,

while I'm all in favor of using a way to request permanent storage, I'm don't
think using HTTP for avatars is a good idea at all. Avatar handling is not
good at the moment (too many ways to do it, specifications not restrictive
enough specially on format), and I think we need a way to get several formats
with one mandatory (so everybody can get it), but with the ability to provide
several sizes, and vectorial format, which can't be provided by HTTP upload
(or at least not in the current state).

Also while HTTP upload is handy, I still think that we have far better tools
with Jingle, I only see HTTP upload as an ad-hoc quick and dirty solution, not
as something we should use to build more elaborate things.

About permantent thing, I think it should be restricted to HTTP but available
for any upload thing (including Jingle).

cheers
Goffi
